Calling Issac from Dead Space "poorly equipped" isn't very fair. In FPS's headshots do extra damage, in Dead Space cutting off their limbs deals extra damage. Weapons such as the Plama Cutter, Line Cutter and Ripper are mining tools designed to cut, chop and decapitate. The weapons in Dead Space are perfect for the job, cause the faster you can kill a necromorph, the better.
