It prevents the game from devolving into a total cluster-****, like a Shipment map in CoD4 having 64 players go at it. The whole game depends on this hard-to-find balance, and so many other things can go wrong with something like this that also has the potential to destroy it. I just don't know about this one. My sentiments exactly. Even KZ2 got so chaotic online that it just burned me out on shooters for the time being. I loved the hell out of it, but the frantic frag fest nature that most matches devolved into, it just devolved from fun into pure chaos. I can only imagine this game with everyone clashing together in what I fear will be one huge mess, with only a minority of coordinated players who are trying to coordinate, but will be overwhelmed by the majority that will just be going nuts.
When I play KZ2 it's only pure chaos during search and destroy missions. That's crazy intense!As far as MAG community not playing together as a team: The game will award a considerable amount of more XP to those who follow their commander/leader's orders and mission objectives. People will be XP hungry, worried about unlocking new things in their character tree and play right hopefully. We'll see :).
From what I've read it seems as if they have the design under control. I just want to see if it will stay at a steady 30 frames! The beta will be great for them as well.
More, when you stick close to your squad you have status boost like increased accuracy or movement.
