@WizardGlass @madman608 You guys are really caught up with the idea that reproduction is the end all, be all answer. man + man or woman + woman cannot equal baby and therefore must be some form of unnatural or sinful act.
If you chose to define yourself solely as a creature who's only goal is to reproduce and everything else is trivial, then fine. Throw away your games, books, movies, etc. and make some babies. Because that's the only natural thing to do apparently.
Also people who can't have babies for medical reasons must also be unnatural abominations by that logic.
Anyone who adopts or is adopted, also written off as less than human.
You guys make me sick to my stomach with your diminutive, ridiculous statements.
Also, people are BORN homosexual, and therefore are naturally homosexual. You cannot fault them for that.
No more than you can fault someone for being a different race.
Honestly, I hope you guys are just young people, still figuring out the world and how complex it is, and therefore you need to go back to these simple dogmatic definitions of what is natural in order to hold some grasp on what you think reality is.
I also hope that some day you wake up and realize how hurtful and damaging these remarks can be to someone who is a member of the LGTB community.
What makes homosexuality different than pedophilia or being a vegetarian is that those are individual acts, not necessarily determined by the person's genetics or instincts.
Also trying to compare them is simply stupid.
I really don't think I can try any more.
You're just wrong. so so so so so wrong.
Go to school, learn stuff, educate yourself, better yourself and hopefully you'll see the truth.
@dreamfist11 @madman608 two men and two women may not be able to biologically create another human being, but that does not mean they cannot make a family. Just because a male and a female can technically create a child, does not make the process some perfect, holy act. A family is about a connection between fellow humans who are bound to each other legally.
I guess I was just hoping that gamers were smarter and more open than this. It's kind of scary to see that people, anywhere still hold these beliefs.
I'm glad that Gaymerscon is happening, and hopefully in the future arguments like this wont happen.
@sapphey_snake @dreamfist11 @Chaos_Dante_456 The most ironic thing here about the entire argument, is that you guys just proved exactly why Gaymerscon is happening. Idiotic biggots like yourselves.
@sapphey_snake @Chaos_Dante_456 Not a lifestyle, not a choice. saying you disapprove of homosexuality is just like saying you disapprove of black people or even muslims.
But please, feel free to keep digging your own grave here.
@sapphey_snake @Chaos_Dante_456 disapproval of homosexuality = bigotry.
definition of bigotry -
defined by Merriam-Webster as "a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially: one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial, religious, cultural or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance"
Also, just because the convention is 'for' or marketed towards LGTB people, does not mean that hetro people aren't allowed to go or that they aren't encouraged to attend. It's a space where LGTB can feel safe, interact freely and enjoy some great games. It may seem odd for people who aren't part of any minorities or oppressed groups, but things like this are part of the healing process. It provides a sense of safety and freedom and allows people to get out of their shell.
@Darnasian Calling people 'fags' is offensive. Saying that every single homosexual person is a sinner is offensive. That's what the flags are there for, and that's why I use them when necessary. There's a difference between speaking your opinion and being blatantly hurtful and disrespectful to others.
