Anyone here think they could use the Holographic memory storage technology they developped with Inphase Techonologies?

Personally I think it would be really awesome but would it be too expensive at this point?

And is the technology even completed? What do you guys think?

I heard they could store over 300GB- 1 Terabyte on one of those bad boys!

Offcourse I could be wrong but it's something to think about.

@Coolyfett

Maybe you shouldn't be getting your video game information from Spike TV. First of all the Atari 2600 was a second generation system. Not only that but it WAS partially to blame for the video game crash of the 80's because of the over saturation of crappy games, specifically games like E.T. which were a huge disappointment. We can thank the Nintendo Entertainment System for saving the video game industry. And by the way the 3rd generation of video game consoles consisted of the NES, Casio PV-1000, Epoch Cassette Vision, Sega Master System and the Atari 7800.

The 4th generation started with the TurboGraphix 16 in 87' and was followed by the Genesis in North America in 89' and they both originally were competing with the NES. And not only that the NES held it's own for awhile before starting to show it's age. The Super Nintendo, when released ,was an instant success and it didn't take long for it to catch up.

First off. Those of you who are complaining about Nintendo having showelware are forgetting that all consoles have shovelware. No ones forcing you to buy any of those games. Do any of you think that the Iphone is exempt from having shovelware?

Secondly, This Vesterbacka guy in my opinion must be aiming to become the most hated man in gaming. If your a fan of Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo you should be insulted by the comments this guy makes. He says that "console gaming is dead and will be replaced by mobile gaming" and "He's tired of the term casual gaming" Should we just pretend like casual gaming doesn't exist to cater to his feelings? It's condescending to us gamers to hear him make comments like that.

Whatever your opinion of Nintendo is, you should still cringe when he criticises games costing 49$ How on earth will we continue to get decent games if we refuse to pay for them> How is the gaming industry going to survive if we don't support it? This guy is a cancer on gaming in my opinion.

By the way, it's my first post...Nice to meet all of you

M*A*S*H would make a good game if done right. You work on people from minor injury's to major surgery. Maybe get tasked to help out an AID station that's short a doctor or doing a POW trade. Online could work cause you friends in your unit and you could compete with other units, like football, bowling, etc. just like they did in the show.

Actually...there was a M*A*S*H game on Atari and it was actually pretty good! I think a "Perfect Strangers" game would have been great in the 80's. Especially if there was a level based on the infamous "fixing the shower" Episode.
