For the games i have preordered:

Dead Island - Cannot Wait! excited isn't the word.

Gears Of War 3 - Easily the best third person shooter game of all time, aslo cannot wait!

Rugby Challenge - Finally a good rugby game worth the money!

RAGE - Looks interesting, but I hope it is a lengthy 25 hours or so. (But unfortuanatly, i can tell it will be the kind of game I complete once through, then sell as fast as possible to get the best deal of money back... Might not be though!)

Batman: Arkham City - 40 hours of Batman is orgasmic to me, easily in my top 3 games this year!

Battlefield 3 - This game looks mind-blowing! My most anticipated of all year and with over 400 hours of multiplayer gameplay announced, this will take up a meaty part of the christmas season!

Uncharted 3 - Looks phenomenal (But might cut back so it's an Xmas gift)

MW3 - Although it looks pretty crap compared to Battlefield, and i am sick of the COD franchise, I'll be picking this up and probably enjoying it for a small time before moving on. Not spending my usual 30 full days on this one.

Skyrim - Best RPG ever made? Has the massive potential.

Assassins Creed Revelations - I'm only interested in the story after that cliffhanger at the end of Brotherhood. The gameplay doesn't look to improved.

Saints Row: The Third - Looks fantastic! Just plain fun.

Halo - Bargain Bin.

I will say, I enjoyed the Spiderman: Web Of Shadows game back in 2010, but I can't (Yes, i say can't) Pick up the new one the same day Battlefield 3 comes out! Unfortuanatly this will be on the Christmas bargain list... shame.

Is it just me who thinks that it is marketing suicide for the developers to bring it out on the same day?

What are yours?

I have done the exact same, sold the two LFD's and preordered Dead Island. So far, i am liking the aspect of Dead Island alot more than the aspects in L4D, i.e. An open world environment were you can do what you want, when you want. The melee combat in Dead Island looks interesting and the customization looks alot like DeadRising's, but a hell of alot more realistic. However, from the gameplay I have seen, Dead Island does seem to have problems. The voice acting is terrible and the gun gameplay seems abit stiff. But keeping in mind that it was pre-alpha and the game is heavily focused on melee. I guess we will just have to wait and see, but i am really looking forward to Dead Island. Just hope it isn't the kind of game were, if you play alone instead of in co-op, the game sucks balls, as i don't have anyone to play with... :)

I have seen the collectors edition (statue etc.) but only for preorder in the US. Anyone know who, or when anyone will have it on sale for Europe? thanks.

I, like so many others is loving Deus Ex. I got the game today and have played it for the back end of 4 hours. So far, I have no complaints. The game is extremely well polished and I actually like the dialogue wheel more than Mass Effect 2! The gameplay, graphics, story, voice acting, sound and the overall finish on the game excells! I have never played a previous Deus Ex game but this is a supposed great starting point. In opinion, if you are enjoying a 25-35 hour game as much as i am, 4 hours in, it must be a great game of the year contender? (Although batman, Battlefield and Skyrim are all still to come out!) But what are your thoughts? Do you love it? If so, what are your favourite aspects of the game? If you hate it, what are your reasons for hating it?

Okay, so Gears 3 comes out in just over a month and I was wondering if you could answer my questions.

1. I have the console preordered and i was wondering if it was a shiny finish like the original "slim" or if it is like the 4GB console with the matte finish?

2. Are you buying the Epic edition of Gears Of War 3? Do you think it is worth the £100/$150 price tag? I'm on the fence about getting the epic edition or just the limited edition. (I understand you get a normal version of the game with the console)
