For JRPG reviews, best to look elsewhere. Although there are some good ones here, you'll get more info on some amateur youtube review then here.

I find it silly when members here say that the score of this review is ''only an opinion''. Well , you're wrong there. This opinion is the one that matters. You see, your opinion and mine won't be posted on the other offical reviewing sites and magazines nor will it be present on the wiki page. The score from gamespot and others will, and it will mater then. And especially if it's this bad, yeah it will hurt the sales.

And if you still say that score doesn't matter then please look at the coments section and you will see... countless people saying ''Oh... I thought the game was good. Guess I should cancel my order then. Thank God that Gamespot was there to give me an opinion as I wouldn't have any of my own.''

A reviewer should be someone who shares only the facts about the game and presents an objective view of the game. This review was not one of them. I'm an old-school fan too, but I can't act dumb and bash this game when it's clear that it's well made.  This is not worse then fifth one, except for more QTE, but apparently that's even worse then bugs for some...

In the end, the score doesn't matter. It's the people who don't have their own opinions and take Kevin's words for granted, without ever trying the game for themselves, that are at foult.

They probbably just used the lower textures for the demo, hence you would need quite a few MBs for download. Not the first time I've seen it. Wouldn't worry about it too much.

Pretty much the same for me. It has foults, and I wish some things were done in different manner... but the game is so darn fun I turn blind to any kind of thing that I dislike...

Agree. It certainly doesn't have the depth of a game like Skyrim but it excels in atmosphere and good ole fun.. Throw in the Pawns and you have a winner..bogart069

Yeah, it has it's flaws sure, but you overlook it by a simple word. And that word is fun. It's just so satesfying and addicting and that is the most impotant thing you feel during the play. Oh, and not to mention that I almost always listen to Into free - Dangan during the menu screen. :)

Skyrim is more of a quality RPG (as it should be cuz' it's a fifth game in series) then Dragon's Dogma in explorational and graphical sense. But the atmosphere and sense of adventure, plus the awesome battle system pushed DD above all and exceeds Skyrim by far. Game of the year for me. Totally recommended. ^^

You can always make a game harder for yourself but can't do other way around, without breaking a sweat in finding some better equipment. If this was way harder then one set of players would show it's unsatisfaction and it would be Ninja Gaiden 2 scenario. I think the game has the dificulty right to make it enjyoable for almost everyone. And please, don't downvote the game just because you would like some feauture from another game...
