I would have to say that Heavenly sword and NBA 09 the inside. I think that the problem with HS wasn't just the length but the way it was advertised (i.e. not at all) and NBA 09 just as to go against 2k and Live and everyone just thinks they are better because of name when in fact the gameplay is solid and the life mode is real sweet.

wait so let me get this straight you think its better then live and 2k but you dont own it???

[QUOTE="realistic44"]

I actually think this game is better than both live/2k9 for some reason :P

I just like how the overall game is pesented. from the shooting and defensive mechanics, to the follow-through story mode.

Does anybody own it? and is it worth the purchase?

BostonDieNasty

That's a pretty weird way to review it. I own it and think that presentation is better and I like the life mode a good deal, I don't agree with everything he said though.

NBA 09 I think is the first basketball game to get that RPG element so many of them have tried to do right. I agree about the feel of the game. It's very responsive. I like the graphics and I think the voice over work blows NBA Live out of the water. I think, though, the thing that impressed me most was their shooting guage. So simple yet so necassary. It allowed me to know when was the best time to shoot. I also like the way the coach talked to me before the "mission" for lack of a better word, it really helped to immerse me in the game. Don't be a mouth breathing game homer at least try it before you say anything. I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised.The_profeshenal

I hear you on the NBA 09 getting the RPG element of it right. I think that the life mode is awesome in it, especially cuz you can bring you're players from their then into the franchise. What i like about 2k so much is that its a simulation and it has this, www.theotherseason.com but the life mode, www.stepinsidethelife.com , makes it my most played bball game this year

I think that 2k is real strong this year, i also agree with popcorn man that NBA 09 is real good as well. I love the life mode in it. i dont think its as good a simulation as 2k but I think its a lot of fun.

Hubie Brown looked like he pretty much killed his will to play with the grizzlies, once he lost his swagger it was kind of sad to watch him. He never looked like he was having fun. Hopefully he ll sign on with the mix tape tour, and him, sauce, professor and AO can go at it. and yes that elbow pass was amazinggggggggg
