In my own experience, 75% of those who either 'aren't sure what I want to do with my life' or are 'gonna do all my liberal arts, then pick my major' are the ones who aren't at college for the learning. FragStains

That is not true. You cannot ask the majority of students coming out highschool what they have for plans for the future and their career and expect a detailed thought out plan. In fact most people who THINK they have a plan end up changing their major or transferring to different schools. I believe that many people go to college to better prepare themselves for a career. Hardly anyone goes into college with the sole purpose of becoming a better intellectual as they shouldn't. The straight facts are that people with college degrees earn much more on average than those coming out of highschool. Many specialized jobs also require a college degree.

Well, there is not much you can do about it. I am sure you both will want to stay in contact with each other but eventually she will get lonely and find a new guy. My advice is to get over it as soon as possible and start looking for a new girlfriend or else it will be painful for you. Better to dump her now than to find out she screwed some other guy and then she tells you she doesn't want you anymore over the phone. Hope that helped. :P

I don't own a Mac and I am not a Mac fanboy, but here is my opinion. My friend's family only uses Macs and every time I go over his house I never have problems with it. In all honesty I think that Macs are much more attractive than your average PC (technically a Mac is a PC but most people use PC to refer to a Windows based computer). For example the iMac is only a monitor with the whole PC built in including speakers (this is one of the reasons the price point is higher than tower PCs with comparable specs). This means that there are only three cables to manage assuming that you chose the wired keyboard and mouse options which in the case of the wireless option you would only have one cable to plug into a wall socket. Three cables is much less than your standard Dell desktop with the tower, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and speakers all requiring seperate cables.

I think that OS X is attractive and runs really well and is much faster and more user friendly than any XP based PC I have owned. However Vista is very comparable and my personal opinion is that it is more attractive than Mac OS X. Although many people complain about problems with Vista, most come from people who base their opinions of the operating system on heresay and what other people have told them. When I finally used Vista myself I never experienced any glitches, slowness, or crashes. With the release of SP1 there is even less problems with the OS than the minimal amount there was before. Look up the Mohave experiment for more information to base your operating system decision on. Again I have used OS X and it is great for editing movies (iMovie and optional Mac only editing software), music (Garage Band and optional Mac only editing software), or photos and is great for surfing the web, checking your email, listening to music (iTunes) and doing homework (Mac supports Microsoft Office and optional iWork software). However Vista is just as capable of doing those things with its proprietary Windows software and optional applications.

Hardware wise a Mac is usually very reliable. By purchasing a Mac you have the benefit of excellent customer support as opposed to a company like Dell and the piece of mind that your software WILL work with your hardware. The same people that made your Mac are the same people that developed the operating system and software. While a Mac is not virus proof there are virtually no viruses that will affect a Mac based on its design and with the added benefit of security software built into OS X there is really no threat of getting a virus. Although Vista is much more prone to viruses based soley on the fact that it is a Windows OS it also has more extensive built in security feature than XP and with third party programs such as Norton Anti-virus the threat of viruses is greatly diminished. On a hardware and software standpoint you may have to contact several different companies if you have a problem with your PC although most of the time the company from which you purchased your PC such as Dell will be able to assist you in problems involving hardware and software that was included in PC when you purchased it. Macs usually cost more but they are quality products and the cost usually pays off in the long run although you may be able to find an equally well built PC for cheaper.

I hope my extremely long post will help you make a decision on what computer is right for you. Hopefully you will or have done reasearch in other areas from other sources which will help make your decision more informed. I tried to make this as unbiased as possible and hopefully you take some opinions with a grain of salt. Good luck on your purchase.

The same thing happened to the supposed extraterrestrial footage that was apparently authenticated by a "professional."

northeast but I'm from Britainalexmurray

I think the northeast accent is the closest thing to a British English accent. Of course it depends on what type of British accent you have as I believe there are at least two. One that makes anything you say sound intelligent and one that makes anything you say sound like jibberish.

It said that I have a Midland Accent a.ka. no accent. I found that to be correct because even though I live in New England and more specifically New Hampshire I don't have a typical Northeast or Boston accent. I always find it funny when I hear someone from Massachussetts pronounce "park" like "pawk" or "monster" like "monsta." I call carbonated soft drinks soda not pop and I use the expression wicked all the time which I am told is a very Northeast thing, but whenever I hear someone talk from somewhere like Pennsylvania or Ohio they sound just normal to me. I think the quiz got the accent right, it just isn't very good at guessing the location as a "midland accent" I am sure could be found anywhere. The quiz also said my voice would probably be good for radio or TV which I am not so sure about.

The quantity over quality strategy is becoming obsolete in the 21st century just like most of the weaponry Russia possesses. Producing mass quantities of cheap and very basic weaponry was a good strategy during WWII and up into the Cold War. Now more advanced armies such as the US and the United Kingdom have and are developing weapons that would negate any advantage of a much larger army. It doesn't matter if you have 10 tanks for every 1 tank that your enemy produces when the enemy tank can destroy all of them before they can even get a shot off. Training also plays a factor in effective warfare. You can have all the soldiers in the world but if they are poorly trained then they are hardly a match for a smaller well trained army. It is worth mentioning however that a bullet still has the potential to kill someone regardless of whether it is being fired from a1940s rifle or a newly made 21st century assault rifle, but it all comes down to who is behind the weapon and how prepared they are to fight. I doubt we will ever see the ultimate match up of two different superpowers as the threat of nuclear war is more powerful than any army.

I also thought that I heard the host mumbling to someone when the aunt started talking. If you listen closely it sounds like a conversation with the mic covered more than the host acknowledging what she is saying. After what sounds like a short conversation the host quickly breaks in to say that there will be a commercial break. The final thought was blatantly shortened when the aunt decided to continue with what she was saying. When I first heard about the Georgia-Russia conflict I read that Georgia had launched an attack that was strategically planned to take place while the Olympics were being held. Now media sources report otherwise. It is hard to say definitively who is right but I know that this makes me lean more toward the idea that Georgia is hardly an innocent victim. If Mexican soldiers rolled up and killed US border patrol officers and killed civilians I am sure that the US military would probably counter-attack and bomb the crap out of Mexico. This might be what is happening here. BTW I know my example is a little extreme.

Any animal infused a with a single drop of blood from chuck norris. Last time a genetist did that, 5,000 people died, and the event was covered with the excuse of bird flucurono

The Sasquatch is 99% similar to Chuck Norris. The 1% difference is what makes Chuck Norris well, Chuck Norris, and also prevents the Sasquatch's head from exploding from an overload of awesome.
