the vision camera for xbox 360 was the best example of an add on being hyped and then dropping out of existence dramatically. the wii+ may very well go the same way
i tried to get into vagrant story when it came out as well as all my mates had nothing but good things to say about it. i just couldn't stomach the bleakness of it, and the box puzzles were annoying
i'm not so sure that there will be a new console in the next 2 years. there are xbox 360 and ps3 games that are expected to be released as late as late 2012. you would think that with the 3ds coming out that there would at least be hd support for the wii
i reckon during 2011 we might see wii+ used more often to compete with kinect and move. but tbh even though a lot of gamers may see wii as perhaps inferior in respect to ps3 and xbox 360, it will always outsell its competitors since there are far more casual gamers in the world than there are who actually take part in gaming as a hobby (i don't want to use the term hardcore gamer lol)
