Yes this is true. The 360 red rings of death can be randomly or there are some reasons and one of them is playing it too much straight. red rings could mean over heating. ive had it happen twice once was random and one was because my mom loved rockband and we played for 12 hours straight. So some of the xbox breaking was your fault

The most my 360 is on was I think 4 hours when I was watching two movies.When I play 360 I play in short burst never in long sessions.But they said this time it might also be my power supply.

I do not believe you that you are on your 8th 360. The rrod problem was not THAT bad. Sure, there were a fair number of systems that were faulty but I bought a launch console and have never got rrod. And if you don't know why you should keep your 360, you don't deserve one.FuriousFragnito

I think we are getting screwed by Microsoft becaue honestly we have the least exclusives it seems like.Games like Mass Effect and Gears Of War were 360 only and then they made their way onto PC,which just because its not on PS3 makes it not an exclusive anymore.The top 10 of the most played games are also on Wii,PS3 or PC.It just doesn't seem fair.Our two biggest exclusive Gears 2 and Fable 2 will probably make their way to PC same with Halo 3 in a few years.

So honestly besides XBLA,xbox live and more people playing online than other systems besides PC.Is the 360 worth it?

Dont listen to what these people are saying .. If you want to sell your 360 then do it. Maybe you're not into games as much as you were before (its not really a bad thing though). I too am kind of P.O'd at my 360. The RRoD just gets to you. If you want , then buy a PS3 .. there are some good games coming out for it (I'm kind of obsessed with MGS4 and Killzone 2 trailors and videos on youtube) ..

No offense, but having 8 RRODs on 8 consoles is either a sign from the Heavens or you mistreat your Xbox 360. Either way, you should consider buying a new Xbox or upgrade your PC because you're right: many of the great Xbox games come out for the PC. However, the constant upgrades are expensive and annoying. I use a laptop that is decent for gaming,I can play games like Crysis and Age of Conan on med to high so I'm good there.Think I might buy a MGS4 bundled PS3 tomorrow and sell my 360 once it gets back from microsoft thanks for advice.

I can't stand GTA4 multiplayer weakest part of the game imo.
