[QUOTE="SaintBlaze"]

[QUOTE="hillelslovak"] I'm not a basketball fan, but I do watch quite a bit of all the ESPN news channels, and I think people are way too hard on him. He always seemed to ask for better, higher quality players to surround him in Cleveland FOR YEARS, and they did nothing. Secondly, he always said he would weigh his options when his contract is over, and see where it takes him. Cleveland fans are just butt hurt because he went to the team that was best for him, and they lost their player. Seriously, they put on protests which looked like they were out of a christian bonfire ceremony. Burning his jerseys, crying and the like; pathetic. They need to get lives. IT'S BASKETBALLhillelslovak

First: They got him all the players he asked for. He had a hand in all the trades and signings they made.

Second: He kept that organization in the dark throughout the year, not giving a hint of whether he was staying or going. He didn't even tell them of his decision until 30 minutes before it went live. The Cavs organization were caught with their pants down and had to rebuild on the fly. That's a douchebagl move on Lebron's part.

Third: They're fans, that lost the best player they've ever had, who also promised them a championship ring. Of course they'll be hurt. You say you don't watch basketball yet patronize these Cleveland fans who have a pasison for it, and who are more pissed at HOW he handled his departure. THAT is pathetic, Mr. High Horse.

First off, if he didn't sign a new contract with the Cavs, then there was always a possibility that should have been prepared for. And if they were real fans of the team and the sport, they would have showed him disfavor when he was acting like a douche with all those special privilages with the organization. Secondly, I'm a boxing fan, so for you to say I'm on a high horse is insane. Boxing fans continually get robbed of huge fights that could help the sport. Mayweather Pacquiao would have been gigantic, but I don't see it happening. Boxing fans are used to be screwed over, and we don't complain about every tid bit like people from other sports. Lebron leaving Cleveland didn't hurt the sport, whereas Pacquiao-Mayweather not happening hurts the sport quite a bit.

That's a completely different sport though, and not even a team sport for that matter. The reason why people give Lebron so much **** is because he never gave a **** about anyone, but himself. He wants to go off blaming the GM of the Cavs for him giving up in the playoffs last year. A picture of him is what you should see if you look up the word douche. He's an arrogant @$$hole who does nothing but blame his mistakes on others like he's a ****ing 10 year old. If someone close to him wouldn't agree with everything he says and stop brown-nosing him, maybe he would grow up. We all know that will never happen though.

He slipped off base by saying that, but not nearly as much as the morons in the Cleveland sports community. He's a free man, and he's free to go anywhere he wants, and put a ball through a hoop with whatever color jersey he wants. Get over it, you pathetic losers...........hillelslovak
This has nothing to do with where he decided to go. It's how he decided to announce where he's gone, and how immature and stupid he has been since that day.

so the james hate continues on this forum.lol who cares what he says??? some of u people act like a jilted ex lover. everything he says or does is ripped apart. i felt he could have handled the decision incident alot better but thats on him. he did have a right to leave cleveland and some people still cant get over that.lol oh well as a rockets fan im looking forward to when the heat play us. should be good.

coltsfan4ever

it's all ripped apart now because he's a ****ing idiot. the forums would stop if he would stop to think about what he says, or would just shut his mouth completely instead of putting the blame on others for making "The Decision" like he's the most awesome person on Earth. His arrogance is just completely astounding.

Where the **** were all of you haters before this summer? The dude has always been a dick but now you choose to hate? I'm getting sick of this.NoobisMaxcimus
He has shown it more now than he ever has. There's a difference between being a dick to an extent to where it's tolerable, and being a dick to where you're going way off the edge in common sense.

no. Judging from past games I have watched, the Philly crowd isnt so "brotherly loving." I think one time they cheered when a player got hurt and was taken off the field with a stretcher.Fuhgeddabouditt
Yep, that was Micheal Irvin, and they cheered because he was a Cowboy. As an Eagle's fan,I find that disgraceful. As far as McNabb getting cheers, hard to say really. Philidalphia fans are unpredictable it seems.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2010/09/lebron-james-blames-race-for-backlash-to-espns-the-decision/1?csp=34

Lebron saying that he got negative feedback for his "The Decision" special because of his race. Is it really necessary to bring out the race card on everything now? It's getting ****ing old in my opinion.

That's almost depressing how pathetic that was.
