@psychomantisiii: Yes, the absolutely do. Youtube reviewers are 1000x more competent than gamespot these days. I am not saying this is an amazing game, but absolutely atrocious games like Battlefield 2042 and Madden 22 receive decent scores from this website.

Madden 22 is Universally DESPISED by the fans and Battlefield 2042 is down to just 4000 peak players on steam. Battlefield 2042 is the worst game in franchise history outside of hardline and literally might kill the franchise outright it's so bad. Like how can you trust this site anymore when they say that it is a good game?

@xnshd: This is the same site that gives derivative garbage like Madden 22 a 7/10 when it's one of the worst games in franchise history. Funny they are skewering an indie studio like Techland who don't line their pockets with ad revenue. The gaming review industry is shockingly transparent.

"A line in a video game" it's a regurgitation of the far-left narrative that every non-white person in the US is living under some "oppressive regime". It's incredibly controversial. If they had said something equally as controversial, but instead from the far right like "every abortion is murder" that's about the equivalent. You don't think there would be a bunch of blue hairs protesting outside Ubisoft headquarters? If you don't you're not living in the same world I am.

@illegal_peanut:

Lol, America literally has the most successful non-whites on earth. Yes, blacks and latinos have a higher median income per family than in any western country on earth. But, keep eating that narrative sheep.

@xantufrog: Except you can literally gimp your character and not be able to progress in hell with a bad build. Hint: I did this myself with a "double swing" barbarian.

To say there are no good and bad builds is silly. D2 has many viable builds and you are punished for not choosing a viable one, whether you think that is relevant to the "RPG" experience or not.

I don't think that's a fun experience to not be able to beat the highest difficulty because you picked the wrong skills and invested hundreds of hours into a character only to start over. Gaming has evolved and this change is for the better, you are promoting a game mechanic that will alienate new players to please a select few "hardcore purists" such as yourself.

@xantufrog: I have to disagree here. It is totally an antiquated system, it punishes much more than rewards. It forces your to literally reroll a character of the same class if you choose the wrong skill points for the build you want to play. Given the "grind to 99" in this game is like a 6 month endeavor (at least). I don't think that adds a lot to the game.

Skill points are only half of the equation as well. You also need the requisite gear for each build, which is another grind in itself. I just never found rerolling the same class for a different playstyle fun. All the best isometric rpgs offer some way to respec. I am not saying it should be "free" but unlimited respec at a cost should be a thing in every game.

@jenovaschilld: Kind of strange to comment on my post 7 months later, but you and your friends are a very small portion of the audience that still does LAN parties. Like this isn't 1998, virtually everyone in the US has access to broadband internet and a stable internet connection.

Nothing about the diablo 3 experience is "better" offline. Local multiplayer for consoles is fun, and I am fine with them having an option for that, but why can't that exist in addition to "always online" which is better logitically for this type of game.

D4 will likely have mmo elements as well. Can you play Path of Exile offline? I don't think you can, so what your asking for is archaic at best and asinine at worse, thanks.

@Cashmoney007: Didn't seem to effect the last game or have any impression on its sales or longevity. Actually, the itemization and story were about 1000x more impactful than the always online part. It is kind of baffeling how people cling to offline single player like seriously I lose internet a few time PER YEAR. Diablo has always been best as a multiplayer game anyways, that's why Diablo 2 is still played to this day.

@Naimscool: Oh noooo, I have to use a specific launcher to play a game. I really don't get this sentiment at all. It will most likely come to steam 6 months later is you really have your panties in a bunch.

@Berserk8989: Well SSD means basically jack poop when it comes to framerates. It can improve things like stuttering and streaming assets in open world games. Combination of GPU/CPU is framerates, mostly GPU. I have no doubt that the series X will be able to run a higher framerate. You can't really do anything to magically help hardware. It is what it is. First party PlayStation games are typically incredibly optimized, I understand. I have a high end PC and don't really have a dog in the fight and will get a PS5 no question, games are all that matter to me and Xbox has none.
