Dude...did you look at how old that post was? Genius...Dredg11Least the guy answered it. And no, it wasn't harsh. Harsh is calling the guy a moron because he couldn't find it on his own. Being sarcastic is getting what you want to say said, at the risk if being funny. You need to chill out.
[QUOTE="Link1x3"]I'd agree. I don't know why Vista is being packages in every new computer now, but until Microsoft gets all their problems fixed for Vista, I'd stick with XP. ghostsniperOP
I just put vista on 2 days ago, and I have no idea why everyone hates it. It works fine, I cant even crash it, I tryed. Sure not all the old software and games work for it, but as a OS its really good.
Same here, Vista runs perfectly for me. I just have issues with things like Shockwave being very sluggish, aside from that though... The Aero look seems to have absolutly no impact on the systems performance. Give it a year, and Vista will replace XP hands down. Look at Windows XP, consider how rough of a time it had when it first came out.
so say if you guys get blu-ray. What if the systems get a way better resolution what will you guys do then. i mean what if Nintendo gets better graphics then pc i mean better then blu-ray then whatCaptain-Ichigo
To my knowledge, at-least with a PC... the only connection graphics and the digital medium used to hold them, is just that. Graphics take up space, and the larger the medium, the higher definition the graphics. Reading speed and stuff shouldn't have anything to do with it, the whole 'installing' thing strips 99% of the files onto the hard drive so that your disk isn't needed for anymore then just to prove you bought the game.
When it comes down to it though, I don't think Blu-ray will do the job, only because it's much to large. We would be spending money for a digital medium that is for the most part, empty.
I duel boot Vista 64bit, and XP 32bit. I can say honestly that Windows Vista is a fantastic OS that is very stable and very fast.
I will say though, that Vista severely lacks when it comes to performance in games. Hell, even Unreal Tournament 2004 slips in performance by at-least 20-30fps, which is uncalled for. Stick with Windows XP until Vista gets a service pack or something, because XP has matured into what we know and love today, Vista is still very young.
Remember, it was only a couple of years ago, that people were all complaining that Windows XP sucked, and that Windows 2000 was better. Give it time.
I wouldn't get Vista for games yet, only because I've noticed some framerate drops in some of the most simple of games, one of which being Unreal Tournament 2004. Drops as much as 20fps, which oddly enough, sparks some sort of noticeable difference.
I don't know if DirectX 10 is at fault here, or if Vista is just using up to many PC resources. Whatever the reason though, Windows XP is a matured OS. There is no logical reason why Microsoft had to make Halo 2 Vista only, except to drain money from people. Best just wait till a service pack for Vista comes out before you try any games with it, and expect pleasing results.
