I don't know how many of you may have thought this same thing, but I am fairly certain once people read this, more than a few will think "Yeah, that's a good idea.."

I tend to browse through the games on this site. Actually, I do it A LOT. It's part of my daily regimen of Facebook, school e-mail, and deviantART. However, I have recently realized that the search is lacking in a specific search filter that I have always felt would be a great way to help locate games that would fit one's play style.

I propose that a new filter be included to allow a user to browse games based on the awards given them by the GameSpot mods. For instance, I am a personal fan of games with a great storyline, so much so that there are instances that I would sacrifice gameplay for it. However, unless I browse the reviews of every game (apart from the word of mouth from a friend), I have no way of telling if a game has a compelling story vs. any other game.

Or what if someone desired to search for a game that was "Good At Parties" or a game that had "Technically Proficient Graphics" or had "Oh Snap! Moments". I just feel that the site's ever growing list of video games would benefit greatly from a more specific searching ability for it's users who like to check up on a game before the buy one.

Just an idea that I would like to see implemented. I know it would sure help me a whole lot.

Further thought, and this is purely for the merit of saying it really, would cause me to believe that the implementation of an "Advanced Filter" would cover even more ground than what I mentioned above. Something such as "Include" and "Exclude" would help. As I said before, I like games with a compelling story. I could then either search for games as "Include: Compelling Story" OR "Exclude: Weak Story".

Just a thought...
