Has any high profile game had a successful management of server load during the launch? Then again those games tend to be MMORPGs.

Blizzard is in a tough situation. Deal with piracy by requiring always online mode for singleplayer, or do a different way and not have server issues.

The easiest solution is what they did, the server load issues will be worked out, people already paid their money and will continue to play the game

Honestly at this point I would have taken an ending where Conrad Verner comes crashing onto the Citadel riding a harvester, pushes me aside to save the galaxy, and then steals my woman. That would have been infinitely better.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong *spoiler warning* The entire thing that was advertised from day one was your choices affect the story. Mass Effect 1 you decided what role humanity played in the galaxy. ME2 you decided if preparing for the reapers meant you would basically sell your soul to cerberus or not. ME3 you were supposed to find out if your decisions would see you come thru and save the galaxy and leave it as a place you would want to live in after the reapers were/if destroyed. Two days ago I was thinking, oh man I hope Wrex is strong enough to lead the Krogan to a peaceful future as I ignore the Salarians valid points and cure the genophage. Last night my heart was pounding as I committed to the final battle for earth, hoping I did enough to save the galaxy and bring peace to all the races of the galaxy after 5 years of waiting. 99.999% of the entire series my choices felt like they matted and in the end they did not. The ending is complete garbage and the only reaction I have to it is serious disappointment and my only reaction is to attempt to erase it from my brain and come up with my own ending. Not, Joker is a coward and the people you brought with you and him are now magically on a new planet and the entire thing was just a grandfather telling a story. I was so excited about the idea of one final replay through the entire trilogy, now I dont even want to ever play the games again as it would be a complete waste of time since NOTHING YOU DO MATTERS IN THE END.
