I find it funny that because of this thread, Medal of Honor executive producer Greg Goodrich confronts Tom McShea about his editorial concerning military shooters. http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6381457/a-matter-of-authenticity About to watch it now just to see what Tom actually does/says when confronted on the crap he writes.

@Ladiesman17 You should go and look at what they released at last years E3 and compare it to this video. They made major improvements in the looks so far, and I'm sure they're not done. Seeing as they guy in the vid specifically states that this is still in early alpha phase. I don't see this game actually releasing till 2014 or 2015.

Honestly looks good, but what PC game doesn't? I stopped playing point-click-shoot games a long time ago. All in all, this game looks good though, if you're a PC shooter fan.

@Hortey Ya because dying and coming back the next round is anymore realistic than respawning during the same round. If you want realistic, if your character dies, either in MP or SP than the game no longer works for you. There's your "realistic".

@idriss22 Stop trying to compare ANY game to "real" warfare. Because none of them come anywhere close to actually feeling bullets fly by you. Seeing your buddies shredded to pieces due to shrapnel. If you want real, do it for real and sign up for active duty combat in whatever country you are in. IF you want a GAME, that allows you to escape from the REAL horrors of combat, pick up a shooter (don't care what type/brand/label, to each their own).

First off Tom Mc Shea, openly states that he doesn't play shooters, yet he has the gall to complain about their lack of realism??? The funniest part of the entire article had to be the last sentence: "Making a quick buck on the backs of soldiers instead of educating consumers of the horrible truths of the battlefield trivializes the very things these development teams say they value." This coming from a guy who knows nothing of the global military or what they want/like. Many of my friends and family served or are serving in the US military, and the LAST THING they want is to sit in a game and relive the sh!t they had to endure IRL. They want a game that's "realistic" in terms of historical and environmental factors, not that if they're shot in the leg they are more than likely gonna lose it. If you want the "horrible truths of the battlefield" you will NEVER find them in a video game, EVER! If you're really itching for the realism of battle put down the pen/ipad/keyboard and go sign up! @medalofhonor #MOH Warfighter isn't for everyone, they're not trying to be. However, they are evolving just as EVERY single FPS/TPS is. Bottom-line, it's a game, not real life. If you die in the campaign you don't have to throw the disk away. You reload the last save point and continue on. IF you die in MP, you can respawn (unless you're playing a mode with no respawns). If you get shot, you will regenerate health. PERIOD. You can't change it, it's the same in every shooter out on the market right now.

After watching this now I know why you said what you said in your other post in regards to "realism" or the lack thereof in MOH: Warfighter. Neither of you know what realism truly is, and you openly admit that you don't play shooters. Yet you feel the need to comment/critique games that you obviously know nothing about. You're complaining about it not respecting the troops, yet neither of you know sh!t about the troops or what they endure every single day.

I had to read over this a few times to try and figure out what it is you're looking for in terms of "realism" in regards to a game. @medalofhonor did a great job with this game, in my opinion. I do wish that some game would implement a few of the ideas you talked about (if you get shot in the leg your movement is impaired, if you get shot anywhere, especially the arms and upper torso, your aim is impaired, etc.). However, from what it sounds like you were saying you don't want checkpoints in the campaign. If you die you have to start all the way over from the beginning (you can do this on your own, if you're playing and die, don't load from last checkpoint, go back and restart the campaign from scratch). But if you do that, then they need to remove the save progress feature and pause ability, cause you can't "really" do that in any combat situation. The list goes on and on, but the deciding factor is that it's just a game. The only "realism" is the environment, interactions, and reactions of enemies. If you would prefer actual battle, put down the keyboard and pick up a rifle and head over to Afghanistan.
