At this point, the Agetec one is my obvious choice if I could find it, but I can't, so I have to look around elsewhere.

I looked up the Total Control Plus, that's the one that converts PS2 to Dreamcast. Apparently, it's supposed to work perfectly (from all the reviews I saw), and it has a VMU slot (it'd be pretty bad with an adaptor without one, for certain games). I believe it also has two different modes: controller, and arcade stick. Also, that Mayflash stick seems pretty popular, not just for poor fighting gamers like myself, but also for modding. I also play a good number of fighting games already on the PS2 and PC, so I can use the stick for all three. Pretty fair price for them, so I'm likely going to go with that now.

Thanks all for the suggestions.

So... has anyone tried adaptors for the DC? Saturn to Dreamcast, PS2 to Dreamcast? USB to Dreamcast?

That's what my original plan was, to get that Agetec green one, but for one thing, it's hard to find (even on Ebay, I believe).

And the other... actually, I forgot to mention, I'm boycotting Ebay (and won't finish boycotting it for awhile).

Currently, I'm leaning towards Mayflash's PS2/PC stick, finding an adaptor for the Dreamcast. It's supposed to be alright (popular for modders), and if I can play it on my PS2, PC, and Dreamcast, that's the only stick I'll ever need (until I get a much bigger wallet, for a professional stick, that is).

Okay, so I ordered a Dreamcast a couple of days ago. This is mostly due to it's amazing arcade lineup, from KOF to CvS2, to SFIII, to Ikaruga, and so on...

So, I figured I'd start looking into my first arcade stick. Did some research, found that the Agetec green-colored one is supposed to be pretty good, but I can't find it anywhere!

Apparently though, using the Virtua Stick from the Saturn by means of an adaptor is pretty popular as well. Plus some adaptors can also be plugged into a usb for a computer, so I could use it for those fighting games on the PC as well.

However, even while I found this (a good stick, for like $15 on Amazon), I'm not sure about the adaptor! The only one I've seen is called Total Control 3 --- and I saw a review on play-asia that said it's mediocre, and from that I'm not so sure it'd be good enough for fighters.

Any other adaptors? Am I wrong about Total Control 3? Any other available (good) Dreamcast sticks?

I might add that I've got a rather limited budget, so that's why I'm looking into the sticks that are pretty good, but not professional (probably somewhere under $70 at the limit, although if I can find a cheap, good adaptor I could get one cheaper).

Not to mention USB sticks with an adaptor to the DC (if I can find that kind of adaptor). The Mayflash one seems alright.

Any help here from fellow arcade (particularly fighting game) fans?

Heh, I just ordered my first Dreamcast a day before that. A true pity it's taken me this long to look into it.

Meh, I never found Final Fantasy Tactics Advance that good (or simple).

My order:

1. Fire Emblem

2. Advance Wars (seriously, you learn quick, can be hard at first, then very easy)

3. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Yes, I know about Guild Wars. Can't play it though, long story (nope, I didn't do anything illegal).

Still, while I can understand them wanting to make money (no one can argue with that!) I get annoyed when a game is almost broken just because in order to get the uber-powerful item, or have any individuality at all in terms of character look, you have to pay.

Really, just anything different would be nice. Darkeden looks different, but there's another game that's basically extremely limited until you pay. Space Cowboy sounds good, but I can't stand shooters.

Hello all.

Free MMOs... yes the realm of online games that are all to often crappy, mediocre games that still try and get money out of you.

I've gotten bored of those I've tried (too repetitive), and am not in a position to get a pay-to-play MMO.

Any free ones out there that stand out from the pack? Unique? More action-based? (more than the simple point-and-click), any strategic ones? (a strategy MMO would be cool).

Heh, a Devil May Cry MMO would be cool (meaning the kind of action-based gameplay), but that wouldn't happen.

I don't want a SSB game on the DS. Wouldn't work.
