I will never trust one single reviewer but I will look at 70 critic reviews (metacritic). When a reviewer is a 1.5 points off OUT OF ONLY 10, I think that is a lot especially when ones reviews are constantly off from gamers and other critics. I don't like the "it is his opinion, he can give it whatever he wants."... I disagree. I think critic reviewers should be held to a higher standard amd also be graded on how well they review. There is something ridiculous when a couple weeks ago, Metro: Last Night gets an 9 score and a GameStop Editors Choice Award when it is a 80 metacritic score.... And The Last of Us gets an 8 score.
baited? Microsoft kicked themselves in the head so many times when it came to xbox one. Microsoft did it to themselves and they deserved the gamers negative response. Don't make xbox one to be the victim of unfair negative response. Now you are going to tell me gamers like to pay extra to played used games, want to pay an extra $100 over the ps4, want constant internet access to play games, loved the microsoft exec comment about "If you don't have internet, play xbox 360.", etc? Baited?!
That is why I would look at 70 "professional" game reviewers (9.5 metacritic score) over any 1 reviewer. Reviews do matter as people make decision whether to try/buy the game. If reviews didn't matter, why even make reviews?
70 reviews so far and this game got a 95 out of 100 METACRITIC score. I can't wait to get this game.... I am not surprised that this game got only an 8 on this site simply because it is a PS3 game and we all know what that means. If this was a xbox360 game, it would have gotten a perfect 10 and be declared the greatest game since halo.

I have never spent $59.99 on any ps3 game and I will definitely not spend $70 on any ps4 game. That is ridiculous as it is over $76 with tax. Really?! Imagine spending that much and the game turns out to be horrible. I would be so upset. I am for supporting developers with buying new games but they will be pushing away customers if its retail price is $70 game..... Even if I wait for a couple months for a deal, I am not gonna be happy about $50-60 new game. I will consider the ps3 to be my last videogame system.
The gamespot reviewer said the campaign was great and the multiplayer was weak so that is why that gamespot and metascore is around an 8 rather than the usual 9. GOW fans play GOW games because of the campaign not multiplayer. I wont get it now but i will get it later in the future.
I won't be retiring my ps3 anytime soon with my backlog of games. Best moment was playing Uncharted 2. Worst moment was Sony taking away backward compatibility of the slim ps3 to sell overpriced "ps2 classics" on PSN. What are the odds that they will do the same with the PS4 and we will see "ps3 classics" on PSN?
