@twilightangel: It's pretty fun especially if you have a couple close friends to really get into it with. Course most got bored way before release its been in early access so long. Some will play again at release just to troll noobs though. My life's gotten too busy to jump into something like this again. But it was good fun. And that was unoptimized.

The year FFVII came out its all anyone talked about. People at school were borrowing strategy guides etc. it was a huge overhaul for the jrpg genre and became a benchmark to compare all future rpgs to. It's very influential and in a day when not as many people played games has sold like 15million+ copies. Most new games don't sell that much. Resident evil created a popular genre of which several entries were quite enjoyable. I can't really think of games like tomb raider before it came out, but it played really well blending action, adventure, and puzzle. It also made a lead female character iconic(probably not many of those before this game). Things are influential because they set a standard or add something to the medium or even change a formula that never really reverts. These 3 succeeded and created quite a loyal following. Sure you might love your atv off-road fury and COD games. But calling someone a nerd because they love a particular genre is just rude. When I was growing up if you play video games at all you were a nerd. Now everyone does.

Goldeneye sure, but FF7,RE, and Tomb Raider were amazing. Of course that was during my most influential gaming period 8-15 year old range. So they stuck as favorites.
@cainetao11: It's not even the cup size. She just seems too thin and petite. Laura needs a slightly larger build. Alicia is a great actress, but I wouldn't trust her to lift 20 lbs let alone be "the" tomb raider.
@gamingdevil800: well the look was a turn off then I read you stack your characters or something that sounded dumb and childish and just couldn't read on. Felt aimed at a young audience. You gotta give marketing something to work with other than a name.
@saturatedbutter: in that case I respect your opinion. But a bland gunfight to me is getting a shoulder hit on the 23rd bullet in a gun with a 14 bullet clip. And pretending that was good action. I liked how the gunfighting was mostly close quarters combat. And the feel of the film. Visceral yet suave with rules.
@saturatedbutter: I don't mean anything by it but were you perhaps talking on the phone, occupied by other pple or playing a video game while watching the movie. I often find pple who watch a movie distracted never like it. It's an ADD generation thing I guess.
But every now and then pple just have different tastes.
