I don't know what people are talking about. A mobility X1400, at lowest settings and lower resolution should play Crysis easily. If it runs smoothly enough, you can probably fiddle with a few settings as well. It also helps you're using XP. Having 2GB RAM would probably help a lot, but at the settings you're asking, it may not be as significant. Will you enjoy it? That's another question, but if you simply want to know if the game will run, then it's a yes.
On another note, if it's the hypermemory equivalent, then it probably won't run it well even at lowest.
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="sc_ajk29"]If any RTS is unbalanced, it's StarCraft, my friend. That game is a total (and almost always successful) rushfest. Just looking at the Protoss Zealot just proves you wrong right there. And the Carrier is also incredibly overpowered. If anyone makes a group of Zealots (in the beginning) and the Carrier (later in the game), 99.99999999999% of the time, you're totally done for. sc_ajk29
Firebats slaughter Zealots and Scourge slaughter Carriers. Try again.
Every unit has a counter. I can easily survive a Carrier rush... only noobs have problems. If the game wasn't as good as it was, it wouldn't be the South Korean national sport.
That kind of defense sounds great in theory but in actual practice, it's nearly impossible to carry out effectively.
First off, Firebats vs. Zealots. you forgot to mention that it takes only a couple hits from a Zealot to kill a Firebat, while for the opposite, it takes many more. Not to mention the higher tech level for Firebats (Barracks + Academy) vs. Zealots (Gateway ONLY). Even with splash damage for Firebats, a Zealot rush is nearly impossible to stop early in the game, unless you're an expert and the other player is a total novice. Not to mention the fact that you haven't named a counter for Zerg yet.
Next, Carriers vs. Scourges. First off, if you're Terran, then what do you do? But anyway, it takesabout3-5 scourge to kill aCarrier. That's about halfa whole hatchery's worth of larvae. Not to mention the fact that some of the Scourge might get slaughtered themselves before they can strike. In fact, Scourge have very few hitpoints and can be killed quite easily before they even get close.
And don't get me started on the Guardian + Devourer rush, or the Mutalisk rush. Those rushes are even more horrendous than Zealots and Carriers.
Anyway, we're getting VERY off topic here, so I will back out. However, as far as I can see, you are 100% wrong.
Give me a break. Any decent Terran player can simply wall-in with a supply depot & barracks, make a few marines and tech to vultures with mines to stop mass zealots easily. As for Carriers, if you actually realize they're going Carrier A.S.A.P., you simply expand (more) and roll him over with ground before he can make more than two. Goliath/Tank with decent micro will completely demolish lone carriers.
You're right though, this is getting off-topic, but as far as I can see, you're 100% wrong.
As for my games, I think Company of Heroes is, though I admit I did not take the time to learn it. Same with Command & Conquer 3, though I believe that game is less dependent on skill than Company of Heroes.
