I finally figured out the problem, the mouse. I had been using a fancy mouse my mom got me for my birthday a few years back. It had a button on the side that was a shortcut for backspace. I never used it so I forgot about it. Over the years the button got dirty and stuck. I feel so stupid. I want to strangle myself with my mouse cord. I formatted my computer for nothing. ARGH
I guess I'm just going to reformat then. I built this computer last week so I don't have much stuff on it I care about. I just wish I knew what caused it so I could avoid it in the future.
No, I mean when I try to run it what I type is erased and when I go to control panel and try to get to it it goes back to the first control panel screen.
I assume this is the right board for this. Anyway my other computer acts like the backspace key is stuck but the problem persists even when I unplug the keyboard. I ran Avast and Spybot but neither found anything. This is really annoying and frustrating because I can't do anything where I have to type and I always have to open new tabs in Firefox. Also if I go to something like documents it goes back to desktop.
I'm not that experienced at computer building myself but I'm planning to build one soon once I get some more money. Anyway from what I know, I would recommend downgrading windows from ultimate to home premium and using that money to upgrade the video card up to a 8800GT.
