Enchanted Arms. There is no way I'm going to bother finishing it. Worst buy for me this gen.

BioShock. Can't be bothered to finish it at the moment, but I will probably go back to it after completing all the awesome new releases I own.

I voted but didn't receive the emblem. Just tried voting again and got halfway through Dubious Honors, but then kept getting redirected to GameSpot's home page. I'll try again tomorrow.

Duke Nukem 3D was awesome back in the day. It's sad to see 3D Realms come to an end, but it's probably best that Duke is left in the past, because I wouldn't like to see him brought back in a bad game. Frankly, the footage they showed in the couple of trailers for DNF looked terrible.

Actually, 3D Realms made some awesome games in the 90s...the Duke Nukem platformers they made before the FPS were addictive, and after Duke Nukem 3D there was a cool FPS called Shadow Warrior. It's too bad that they couldn't (or didn't) continue on from there.

That was fun, thanks Jody.

I sat at question 3 for the longest time, because all I could think of was BioShock, but I didn't think the splicers counted as zombies.BenderUnit22

Agreed, great trivia - thanks Jody!

I too kept wondering about BioShock's splicers and if they or little sisters (who look zombie-ish at least) would count as zombies. 8)

I sent my answers in. Questions 3 and especially 8 really left me guessing...it'll be interesting to find out what the correct answers are.

Sweet, thanks for posting those scans. The game is sounding awesome, but I'm not surprised. Quantic Dream is amazing. All the different turns the story can take is mind-blowing...it isn't mentioned in this interview but it actually has a 2,000 page script (for all the different choices you can make to affect the story I guess) which is massive. This is a day one buy for me.

There was the votes re-setting problem for me too, and I voted twice in every category then went back and voted where they had re-set yet again (they still re-set after all that, though). Here's a few categories:

Most Surprisingly Good Game

Best Graphics, Artistic

Flat-Out Worst Game

Best Strategy Games

And I think there was one called Worst Game Everyone Played.

It happened to me on the Best Wii Games voting page (it may have happened in other sections and I just didn't notice). I clicked 'vote' and the buttons disappeared to refresh but just reappeared as the regular vote buttons again, and not the voting statistics. After clicking a couple more times, a '404 - Page Not Found' page came up. I'm using Windows XP and Firefox and will try in Internet Explorer tomorrow.

From some of the replies, I dont know if I am getting my point across. Its not that intelligence has left games, but that physical skills are a bigger part. I dont like losing a game because my physical skills were not up to snuff. I'm a geek, not a jock. I dont want to be judged on how fast or strong I am. Modern games may take some intelligence, but they take a lot of physical skill as well, and when I lose because I was not fast enough it just upsets me. There was a reason I was always in the library playing chess during recess. I dont like playing a game that places body over mind.cthulhuspawn82

I don't agree that Halo made action-based games so common, but simply that a lot of people like action in games and have almost as long as gaming has existed.  If you're a good thinker but your reflexes aren't fast enough for games like Halo or COD4 (and it stops you enjoying them), it might be a good idea to steer clear of those games in the future. Personally, I would recommend you play some TBSs like the Civilization series or Heroes of Might and Magic. I don't find that turn-based RPGs like Final Fantasy require that much strategic thinking, but to each his own.

Strength isn't really a factor in games - you just move analog sticks and press buttons, it's not like running a marathon or lifting weights. Physical exercise does improve brain health though.

Determining intelligence doest come from your ability to "think quick". I bet you could hand the controller to any of the greatest thinkers and military strategists in the world, and they would all get their butts handed to them by junior high kids. That should show you were the focus of gaming is.cthulhuspawn82

It depends on what sort of intelligence you're talking about. Being able to think fast can mean the difference between life and death; on the battlefield (in games and far more critically real life) you'll need to both think and act fast when deciding what to do if the enemy is flanking you, etc.

As for military strategists vs. junior high kids, as another user already said, it depends on whether either have experience in games. If both were playing a game for the first time, it would probably be even to begin with. The military strategist would bring a lot of strategy to the game, while the kid would be younger, fitter and possibly faster to adapt to a new experience.

I would like him over any other guy...

So... I guess I go metro, but when you have a hunk who's as bad ass as him, how can you not just froth at the mouth? Look at him!! He's just sexy! I'd kill to be as sexy as him... 8) oh and as bad ass too... Oh yeah, and his alter ego isn't bad too... :P

Alucard's not metro IMO.  He's had a rather...interesting haircut, and wears a nice suit, but it doesn't make him metro.

My choice would be the cool Fable 2 box art guy (not the one with horns  - too bad you can't make your character look exactly like either of them in the game), and then Alucard as a second...but if it came down to a choice between shaved-head marine guys or the effeminate characters (they look way too feminine to be called 'androgynous' to me), I would choose the marines, without a doubt.

And I agree with the dude who posted Gordon Freeman's and Master Chief's pictures - we need the tough, silent guys represented too.
