@loafofgame @Amvis @borkkmor00 GS both has subscription based income, and advertisement income. The image size cap is currently 1 MB from my understanding. Most gifs aren't even that large. They claim 100 million viewers per month or something along those lines. Of those viewers, how many actually have accounts? And of those accounts, how many actually post on the forums? And of those people, how many actually use gifs? The answer to the last one from my experience is a large minority. The amount of space taken up by that may be pretty large compared to what we may have in our PC's, but on the server perspective it is pretty small.

@borkkmor00 No, that's not a sign at all. You're basically arguing that change in and of itself is justified simply because it is change, despite what merits it might really have. It's ridiculous.

Seriously, I'm mind boggled as to why it upsets you so much, you want to take away a feature that others enjoy seeing and using. Especially when there is such an easy solution to fix it. It's called disable sigs. It really isn't that hard.

I actually enjoy other peoples' gifs for the most part. I find them funny. And that is part of why I even come to this site.

If you hate them that much, then disable sigs in your settings. It's really simple.
