Oh my...

There is so much wrong in this statement alone that I don't even know how to properly respond to it. There are no words in the English language that can properly convey how logically broken this statement is.

So I'll just post this.

You know what, you obviously probably don't even have a job. I work in the trades and i know a lot of my superiors that still make simple mistakes you do when your an apprentice. So once you grow up and actually start living in the real world, you'll find this to be true.Quote me i really don't care. ignorance at best.

So you're implying that if I want someone to build my house, there's no difference between a 40 year old who's been in the trade for 20 years and a 21 year old who has never built a house before? Ya superiors make simple mistakes, but they make them less frequently and the things they do correctly are done much better. Your job obviously isn't making video games, so comparing yourself to game designing is worthless.

Yea, get a subscription to the real life because the same thing applies to people who do programming which is considered a trade where i'm from. Also i never implied that, your implying that.

Let me ask you a hypothetical question. You're at home, and your pipes spring a leak. You, in this hypothetical situation, have no experience with plumbing, so you say: "I must hire a plumber, as my pipes have sprung a leak." You see two advertisements sitting on your table, one is for a new plumber, who you know has only recently started plumbing. The other states "Over 20 years of plumbing experience." Who do you call?

How about you get a subscribtion to the real world, i'm talking about an experience that i've seen several times. To answer that question in a way that would actually make you realize how pointless it was to even ask it. When you go to school your not taught by your peers.

That has nothing to do with anything.

Fact of the matter is, someone who has years of experience in a field related to a certain subject, (IE racing in this instance) is more qualified to judge whether or not something is true to life than someone who has no experience in that field (unless Doolz secretly has a career in racing that no one knows about). That is a fact. Deny it all you like, this is reality.

Oh, and you're one to talk about growing up when all you can say in response to me is ad hominem. Very nice. :)

OMFG are you serious, do you even watch any racing at all? AT ALL? I can name five drivers that have been around longer than Louis Hamilton thats never been first to cross the checkered flag. Just because your in a certain profession doesn't automatically make you qualified, it applies to everything in life. Real world, get a subscription. It even applies to the past two former presidents.

Just because you have more experience in a profession doesn't make you more qualified than the next guy.

Dear God. I... what is this.. I don't even... this belongs in a signature. Someone, please, quote this. Because, sir, that is EXACTLY what it does. You better know what you're talking about if you--- the hell with it. Why am I responding to this? Are you sure you're reading your words before you hit submit? Cause I... oh my god... How do you even... there are no words to respond to this. I have never seen a comment so disarmingly... wrong.

Yes, and everyone who has driven before is as qualified as anyone else to comment on how realistic a driving game is. So, my cousin who just started driving less than a year ago is just as qualified as Michael Schumacher in judging how realistic a racing sim is according to your logic. :|

The_Game21x

GT games have a mode where you do license tests, i think you might actually have to do with them to progress to higher race classes. People who drive poorly in real life, or haven't driven at all do very bad in those tests. I don't see the point comparing your cousin to one of the greatest F1 racers of all time. Hes more qualified than a lot of F1 engineers, your not proving anything.

Yes, you do have to do them to advance to some of the higher race classes in GT4 and earlier and that has virtually nothing to do with determining a game's realism. That detrmines the skill of the person behind the wheel or in most cases the controller. Driving skill with a controller does not automatically transmit to skill behind the wheel of an actual car. I am good at racing games with both wheels and with controllers but I do not think I would be as good driving a Z06 in real life because there are more factors to worry about than just the wheel or the controller such as inertia and g-forces that you do not and cannot feel in a game.

I compared my cousin to Michael Schumacher to show you how broken your logic is. You are essentially saying that everyone who has driven before at some point in their lives, no matter how long, is just as qualified as anyone else in judging a game's realism and that's not even remotely true. This Doolz person is not as qualified as an actual race car driver who has years of real-world experience driving real race cars in judging how realistic Forza 3 is. Pure and simple.

OMFG thats like comparing every basketball player to Michael jordan, or every hockey player to Gretzky, or Schumacher to Ascari. I'm essentially saying if hes driven before you shouldn't discredit him just because he is not a professional race driver. I never said any of the words that your putting in my mouth. "Why isn't he? Its a driving sim, if hes driven before then he is qualified" Thats it, nothing more nothing less none of that crap about everyone whose driver one point in there life. Take something and run with it, till the point where it suits your argument.
