I recently moved and when i set up my 360 it seems to freeze after about 10 minutes of use. I've tried a couple games and even just on the dashboard.
Now it doesn't seem to be overheating because it doesn't feel hotter than normal. It's upright, nothing around it, and in the open. The power supply is on the lyno floor and not surrounded by anything.
Am I screwed? Is this console on it's way out? Or is there anything I can do here?
I'm a sucker for 2d side scrollers and SC looks fantastic. Are there any other games like it release recently? IE: modern graphics but still old school exploration?
Controller free gaming is all fine and good, and I'm excited to play it. But watching Johnny Cheong Lee's Head Tracking demo on the Wii made me think of how awesome Natal could be used when combined with regular controller. Imagine playing Halo but being able to move your head around in subtle movements. Not just to dodge, but to help immersion and peeking around corners and cover and such.
Or just being able to throw a granade with your hand while holding the controller with the other. Stuff like that. I think that combined with the controller free gaming for the casual crowd could truly innovate. But I think focus on just controller free is a mistake.
Which would look better?:
-A ps2 game upscaled to 1080P using a top of the line scaler chip inside a great TV.
-A ps2 game through the PS3 upscaled to 1080P but not using the scaler in the TV.
Man, you guys really can't think of practical reasons?
How about this, I have a tv in the living room and one in the bedroom. I bring the box back and forth between the two sometimes. I have internet cables in the living room but not the bedroom. I'd like to watch stuff in the bedroom from time to time, so it would be nice to not be signed into live. Or how about i bring the box over to a friends house and we want to watch movies? or a million freaking other reasons!
Ok...
Does it matter to you personally? You honestly want to know why I don't just stay signed in? How about this, unplug your cable, restart your box, try a divx, come back on here and tell me what happened. Then I'll tell you why!
