I would like to know if there is a way to stop someone from playing DVD on my PS3. Aparently someone in my house f**k up my DVD drive on my PC and is secretly playing them on my PS3. Before my PS3 suffers the same faith I would like your help to completely stop playback at my control so its not used when im home. Thank You!!!
I think there is a wait and see attitude. People are wanting to see if sony can deliver anything SPECTACULAR with the PS3. If people can get the same experience on the cheaper X360 then why buy the pricy ps3 except for the bluray feature. At this point most people are looking at what their friends have when they want to upgrade their console. I'm guessing alot more of those friends have an X360. Sony needs to really DAZZLE prospective buyers, is that happening?

Exactly!! They are advertising the hell out of Blu ray movies but where are the PS3 games. As I read on another site people see PS3 as a Gaming console first and as a blu ray player second. They are not pushing it as gaming console enough. Im 21yrs and still watch a lot of cartoons and almost every commercial break on cartoon network is about nintendo and I have yet to see a PS3 ad. Even on MTV and FOX. Not enough marketing is done for the PS3 period.
I know MANY OF YOU dont like to read these kind of comments when our precious PS3 is put in the spotlight. Its 2008 and there were some great titles like GOTY MGS4. But it seems that the PS3 didn't perform like it should in terms of sales. Overall the 360 and the Wii has widen the gap against the PS3, which I find amusing. I always thought the PS3 would peform cleverly like its grand father (PS1) and its father (PS2) which wiped the floor with the other consoles last generation. Instead its being schooled by GameCube 2.0. Either way this year was dubbed the year of the PS3 but aparently it honestly did not to be that way. Maybe next year and the other but time will tell if that is left to be seen. Could be a matter of the race between the turtle and the rabbit. Stranger things has happened.
For me it did deserve the award, the best PS3 game that came out this year imo and it even let new gamers get interested in it and loved it ( of course there are some who didn't but that can happen to any game)

I was the only reason I bought a PS3 this year. Its a master piece and I am proud to own that game. By the way I am a proud owner of the 80GB Metal Gear bundle PS3. NEVER REGRETTED!!!
Don't forget to vote for game of the year. I voted for MGS4 but Fallout 3 is gaining dangerously close from taking away its crown. So go out in your flocks and vote. (preferably for MGS4. My God I sound like a lobbyist. LOL).

yeah, sad news for them, if they'll admit it... Good news for sony though... MGS4 is one of their best, if not their best 3rd party exclusive. One of the reasons why people pick Ps3 over the other consoles. just like me.taplok
