That monitor will easily go up to 120Hz, just keep pushing it up at small intervals. Careful though, it very well could overheat. But with it at 120Hz you will be able to use 3D as well.

The cutscenes in Diablo 3 were the same way for me. Not sure what the deal is, but it's really distracting.

I'm currently running the game maxed out at 1080p including TressFX on my AMD 6950 2GB and I get an average of 27 FPS. I'm only around an hour in or so, but it is perfectly playable for me.
