here we go. may be a bit of a read:
So its 2007. i was 16. July 13. Friday night. i was at my sisters apartment, where i spent my whole summer pretty much. she had left to go to her friends house and drink. left me with a case of beer. so im just drinking and whatnot, then i get a call from my close friend. he wanted me to hang out with him ans some other people. being bored, i decided to go. brought the beer with me and we were off.
so now i am at this persons house that i didnt really know. i met him(lets call him "joe") the week before. we are all having a good time until joe tells us that he needs some more cigarettes. so we try to figure out what to do, since we were all under age at that time. then my close friend said he could get them, as he has convinced the people in the gas station that he is 18. so we walk(kinda stumbled) about 3/4 mile, and got the cigaretts. then proceeded home.
so far, the night is going pretty smooth. we get about halfway to joes house when he decides it would be a good idea to go "carhopping" thats what he called it. that shoudl have been the first clue that i should leave. but my drunk ass decided to join him. so we went down the streets, trying to open car doors and seeing what loot we could find. about an hour and 10 or so cars later, we had a couple bucks, some CDs, and something else that joe had found. then we made a pit stop at joes house, where he grabbed a baseball bat. he then proceeded to go across the street to some type of car shop, and bash in the windows. i tagged along but did not take part in the window bashing. i was holding a beer. then one car he bashed the window, then as he went to open the door the alarm went off. so we bolted to the house, in my haste, i had left the beer bottle on the spoiler of a car. we then waited for about an hour. then our dumbasses decided to go back out. If we would have stayed inside, we wouldnt have gotten caught.
but anyways, we do some more "carhopping". we do a couple more cars, then choose to do one more before we go to bed. the last car of the night, was a purple van. it was unlocked. i got in the front seat as joe(still carrying the bat)went to go around to the side. he gets to the driver side tire(Left front tire) when we hear a women yelling at him to "Drop the bat". just then my heart sank. i froze. Joe takes off running and the lady cop takes off after him. so im still sitting in the van, my phone is was on vibrate and was vibrating liek crazy, my close friend was trying to call me cause he heard the sirens(me and joe never heard any sirenst though) and was worried.
so there i am in the front seat, sitting there, waiting for another cop to come get me. about a minute passes by. no one came. so i decided to try and make run for it. as soon as i step onto the ground, i hear a guy yell "Stop right there!" adrenaline pumping, i took off running. though i didnt know the neighborhood at all the i heard footsteps close behind me, so i stopped running and laid down and waited to get cuffed. all the while, in my head all i can say think is "s*** s*** s*** f*** f***" etc.
so yep i got caught. cuffs were uncomfortable as hell. ended up getting a month in juvy, 2 years probation, 3 months house arrest, and 50 hours of community service. while joe, skipped town and avoided punishment. since he skipped town, they charged me with what they were going to charge him. f***ed up, i know. so i got charged with bashing in the windows when my prints werent even on the bat. yea it sucked.
though even after all that, i have no regrets. i believe i have grown as person and am better off

TL;DR- got drunk, commited burglary and got a month in juvy, 2 yrs probation, 3 months house arrest and 50 hours community service.
