in order for that vote to be accurate, everyone who voted would have to own and play every games console. since that almost definatly isn't the case, its obvious that 360 would win because more people own 360 than any other console.

final fantasy vii. it was the most amazing game in the world when it came out. it had what is still one of the best and most compelling stories ever written. the gameplay is excellent. the graphics (battle and cut scene not so much over world) were amazing for the time. i've played through the whole game at least once every year since it first came out. it has so much to offer in terms of side quests and challenges. who can forget the first time they bred a golden chocobo or finally defeated ruby weapon? or the drama at the end of disc one and the unraveling of cloud's past. there are so many twists in the story and so many quirky easter eggs throughout. unforgettable.

i think sony will try to keep the adverts relevant to the ps3 community but honestly, the advertising doesn't bother me. if anything it makes the world more believable and because it's relevant i can see it being quite useful. after all, why do people use site like gamespot? for news about video games and their systems. that's what home gives you. and if you go to say the theatre, there will be movie adds and trailers, again - relevant and realistic. i think that this is how home's advertising will work for the most part.

no, we don't need it. i've played it and honestly i didn't think it was that great. i mean, sure it looks amazing but i just didn't find it as fun to play as you'd expect from the way people go on about it.

home's purpose is to build ps3's online community, to allow players to meet and chat in 3d space, to advertise things that are relevant to ps3 owners and allow users to share their own content as well as their achievements (trophies). it relay grinds my gears that people are going on about how sony should include super powers, cars, guns and sex. those things will never happen because they have nothing to do with what home is about. no doubt home will evolve over time but the changes will only be things relevant to the ps3 online community. this means things like 3d game spaces/lobbies to meet and match other players, developer spaces to keep up to date on your favourite games etc. and possibly minor things to enhance the experience while you socialise on home such as new mini games, the ability to listen to music from your hdd via the virtual psp. home is not the sims, second life, wow or gta!
