With so many lacks, the great gamplay keep this game good
the game suffers from many disadvantages from the equal - FIFA,
the first of them is the huge lack of teams! only 3 full leagues, and what amazing is that they keep buying licenesses for the Eredvisie! (Nederlands 1st division) that is 7th in the UEFA league ranking and just keep getting down, all this while the game that is proud to have exclusive licnese on the champions league, pardoxical doesnt have licnese to 7 out of 32 participants!, and maybe if they dont want to invest money on groups like Arsenal and Chelsea, they should buy licneses to the less prestigious groups like Maccabi Haifa, CSKA Moscow, Decreceni, etc., while konami bought licnese for teams like Kalmar, Sparta Praha, Sivassfor, etc. while they dont have full licnese for the best to leagues by UEFA, Premier League (2 out of 20 licnesed teams!!!) and Liga BBVA (12 out of 20 fake teams), and the 4th ranked league - the bundesliga that dont even have fake teams. this is really annoying and it is the time for konami to have licnese for all the Champions League teams, the bundes liga, and some prestigous licnesses like arsenal and chelsea!
Next is the online that suffer from 2 main problems - first is the lags, I can barely play a full match with a foreign player, and this is also anoying, but I am not sure that this is because of konami so leave this ( I am playing with great fun with my israeli friends), next thing is that the online primitivity - big mess and it is really hard to orginize competitions, hard to communicate in-game, the whole divisions and statistics thing is not clear, and the general feeling is that the game is messy (no. not messi. regretfully.).
now about the commentary. I dont have say much. the T.I.N.E.B.W.I.E.T.S.H.B.I.I comentary (there isnt enaugh bad word in english to say how bad it is) escort the series since it came out, I mean, all the superlatives had been said, and I can only remind konami to make somthing even barely better next year..
now, you may notice that all these things are not technical and with a little investment, next year game will be perfect, because of 2 things - gameplay and graphics, first of all - the gameplay is better then ever, when konami slows the gameplay it make the game better, when the highlight is tactical attack build-up, when the equal offers attack without build-up, you can run thru the field with one or two player, which make the game not realistic, while PES offer tactical realistic fun gameplay.
Graphics, I cant understand why gamespot said that the motion is not realistic, the players are really look like in reality, and the motion is very realistic, I think that the graphics and the animation are much better than the graphics in FIFA.
EXT. features: I am only playing in the master league and in exibhition matches.
Master League: this year the master league is very fun the champions league connectivity adds so much! you feel like you are running thru a real season with great fun!
Exibhition match with friends (online or offline): Pure divinity! when you dont hear the commentary and the veraiety of teams doesnt matter because everyone choose only the best teams (RM, Barca, Inter..), and the only factor that matters is the gameplay, you understand how perfect is this game for playing with friends, beacuse of all the gameplay properties that I've mentioned.
Summary: Pro evolution soccer is perfect game for exhibition match, and konami are making a big mistake, they should invest some time and money in make the lacks I've mentioned before and make them better, because they did the hardest thing, they made a great gameplay.
