An improvement on the great PES 2008 - The best soccer game out there that will truly keep you addicted.
If you've played PES 2008 - this game is mostly the same. The main addition is the Master League mode which was for some reason lacking in 2008. The Champions Road is still there, but playing manager in Master league - negotiating transfers, a lot of match analysis is also available to you, players improving, getting older..retiring... all of what was missing in 2008 is here in this game.
The gameplay is just as great - the main addition being that although you can swing the nunchuk to shoot, you can also point to aim your shot, so you can put the ball where you want to. The accuracy of where the ball actually goes depends on the player, how fast you're going, and if you're balanced or not.
PES did manage to get some licensing with the Champions League - and so for the teams featured in that league, you will have all the actual kits, and accurate team/player names. All the edit functions are still there if you want to change the other team names, or players.
In all, this game is very similar to last year - but the Master League addition makes all the difference, and will keep you coming back for more. If you're a fan of soccer games and haven't tried PES 2008 or 2009 - this is a must have!
