With all these Soccer games to choose from there is quite a bit of competition between them all. Should I get Fifa, Uefa, Euro, or PES? So as you can imagine, the game developers of every game try to come up with new stuff and game features to try and promote their game, and convince people that their game is the best. Respectively today the 2 major decisions are on Fifa or PES? I believe that PES is the better game. I have both PES 2008 and FIFA 09 and I end up playing PES 2008 much more often and have more fun in doing so. First of all you can not ignore that PES is much more realistic in terms of gameplay, the AI in PES is outstanding! The AI players act a lot like real players and will not stop until they have taken the ball away. The gameplay and handling in PES is better then FIFA, if you compare the 2 games then you'll find out that PES moves more freely and is a bit more fast paced then FIFA. FIFA moves a lot more slower and isn't that realistic in those elements. But of course PES also has it's weaknesses, the teams aren't written as they are in real life. Take for example a London team called Arsenal, in FIFA the team is called Arsenal but in PES it's called North London and also the badge isn't the same as the real life team but is close to the original. Now in FIFA the graphics, the lighting, and the stadiums are very nicely done. But it is impossible to ignore the fact that it is impossible if not extremely difficult to score outside the box! I played FIFA for 5 hours straight just trying to score from outside the box and couldn't do it. And FIFA is a little more slow paced then PES and is a little harder to make the players move in a specific direction and do sharp turns and fast stops. The question really is do you want to have extreme realism on the field, do you want the players to act like their real? If so pick PES 2008. But if you want to have accurate names and badges, and really cool graphics and a wide variety of stadiums then pick FIFA 09.
