Good. But with problems.

I'll get to the point. Having played FIFA 2008, I think that PES is still the leader as far as football games go. The game mechanics are the most realistic around. Goals are few and far between, but when they do come, they are quite thrilling, just like in the real event.

Bad points: Konami have started using scripts in their game. This has been the major problem with FIFA since it began in the 90's and it was something that I hoped I'd never see on a Pro Ev game.

An example, is the absolutely maddening occurrence of super players in the computer team. A player will suddenly become untouchable and dribble past every player on your squad and smack the ball past your keeper. There is nothing you can do to stop him short of bringing him down and getting a red card in the process.

Another bug that I have seen many times in FIFA, is the "idiot defender". How would you like to have one of your players chase an attacker and then completely run in the opposite direction allowing the guy to score easily? Infuriating.

Then there's the shooting variables. They don't make a bit of sense. A player with high shooting skills will sky the ball over the bar, even though the keeper is nowhere and he has an open goal in front of him. Tapping the button very lightly makes no difference, the power bar shoots up and the ball is soon in row Z behind the goals.

The game is still very enjoyable with these bugs, believe it or not. It is not perfect though.
