Prince of Persia review:
Graphics : It's wonderful. The engine handles the graphics wonderfully and there are no glitches. The mood is perfect. You feel like you're in a wonderful Arabian tale. It's very detailed though. 10/10
Controls : Very simple. You can jump, climb, wallrun with CROSS, use your glove with CIORCLE, and use TRIANGLE to use Elika's power. You can also slide down on walls with R2. There's also combat in the game. You always fight one enemy at a time. There are many combos in the game. To use your sword hit SQUARE. Block with R2. The rest of the moves are similar to the buttons of the platforming sequences. Overall the controls are good. 8/10
Difficulty : You can't die. That's right. Elika always saves you. This means that the game is not frustrating. You'll enjoy it. Trust me. It's not like the "Trial and error" games. But you wont be frustrated. It's a nice idea. 8/10
AI: Elika's with you in the whole game. She helps in combat, points the way, and saves you from dying. She'll never stand in your way. You can talk with her to get some information about the world. All in all, Elika's a really good partner. Enemy : The enemies are a great challenge to defeat. Timing must be perfect. They have a lot of signature moves. To get out of them, push the buttons that appear on the screen. 8/10
Replayabilty : This game needs at least 9 hours to beat. There are light seeds to collect and trophies to obtain. Sadly, there is no real reason to replay the game as there is no secret ending. 8/10
World : The world is pretty big to discover. It's not like the earlier Prince of Persia games. The story is good. You have to trap an evil god, Ahriman before he can escape from his prison. You have to heal the land from the Corruption. To do that, you have to find a Fertile Ground, defeat it's guardian, and Elika will do the rest. The game has a very good style. You have to find light seeds to discover new areas, and to heal them. You have to heal all Fertile Grounds and kill all guardians, and defeat Ahriman to end the game. There's also a little surprise at the end... 9/10
Rating : Very good game. Nice graphics, easy controls, nice gameplay and a good world to discover. Truly worthy of the name.
