For those who can't get enough of The Sands of Time... here's more swinging, hacking and teeth clenching.

User Rating: 7.5 | Prince of Persia: Warrior Within PC
For those who had a hard time with the acrobatic stuff in the first game in 2002, then expect it to be tougher in Warrior Within. Even in the easy mode, Warrior Within can be quite unforgiving in a few areas, especially the Dakatar chase scenes. Also, even with the added fancy moves here, the enemies are just as hard to kill. The only good improvement is that there is no scripted scenes of endless enemy spawns like in The Sands of Time, and some of the situations allow you to ignore the fight totally and just move on, which is great for people who just wanted to keep to the story and exploration.

Exploration breaks into the past and present of the same locations, which you'll notice some cool differences in the traps and path layouts. But the annoying thing here is this travelling back and forth between the dimensions which may be a little confusing if you did not pay attention to the vague leads in the cutscenes.

Other than the usual life-bar enhancing secret areas to explore, there are a few cool secret weapons to unlock and use in the game, which adds a bit of variety, though not really important to have. There's a cool twist with the story and your character development which complements the past and present theme presented here. All in all, Warrior Within is a worthy expansion and a game for the nimble fingers and the observant eyes.
