The Prince returns with a darker side. This game improves upon the first game in almost every aspect. Awesome game.

The prince must go to the island of time to kill the empress of time and prevent the sands of time from ever being created. Its a nice idea for a sequel to the Sands Of Time.

Gameplay: This game lets you use a variety of weapons including swords, daggers, axes, and sticks. These are all secondary. You also have a main weapon thats unbreakable. It usually changes and upgrades throughout the story. You can throw your weapon to impale enemies or hurt them. The free form fighting system is really cool and lets you do anything you want. You can run on walls, swing on poles, and kill your enemies in any way possible. You can slice em in half (vertically or horizontally), throw them off of cliffs, decapitate them, throw them into traps, and anything else you can think of. All the traps, and everything are realy well done, and some puzzles are confusing, but they're satisfying once you get through them.there are also these things called Dahaka chases, where you run from a "timeline keeper" monster. Basically what that is, is running oast a bunch of traps or obstacles, and making sure he doesnt catch up to you., ut most of the game has a free roam feel to it. The story is really awesome, and makes you wanna keep playing. There's a twist at the end, and it helps you get through to the very end. I got through it in about 18 hours. The castle thing that the game takes place in can get repetitive near the end, but its all well done, and makes you feel like you're in an Indiana Jones movie or something. Its filled with traps and puzzle rooms, dungeons, prisons, and beautiful outdoor enviroments.

Graphics: The graphics in the game are darker than in the first, but i loved the feel of the game. Everything is really detailed, and all the indoor and outdoor locations look amazing. The cutscenes are all very well done, and the movies look ery realistic. The graphics help get you immersed in the game, and the dark the realy does fit. Not all areas are dark. There are some sun filled outdoor enviroments, like the jungle part of the island with abandoned temples and stuff. Its great looking. The prince is very detailed and so are all the enemies. There's a lot of blood in the game, but in the options menu you can switch it to sand instead, so thats a good option for people who dont like blood al that much.

Sound: many people complain about Godsmack's soundtrack for the song, but I really didnt mind. The music was light metal with persian tunes in it. It really did fit, and whenever the Godsmack song turns on, you know you're gonna get chased by the Dahaka. I liked the music. The first game had its style, and this game has its own style as well. The dialogue is nicely done, and the voices are great. Overall, this game is a classic for me. I beat it 3 times, and got the alternate ending. (to get it, you must obtain all 9 life upgrades throughout the whole storyline, and get a special sword to kill the final boss with). I loved this game everytime i played throught it, and It ranks right up there by the first one. If you're a fan of the first game, this game is well worth a shot.
