It's a step back from the original Sands of Time series, but it's still very good.

I loved the Sands of Time series. There were little flaws and this one fixes some but brings new ones.
The great thing about it is the environment visuals. They are detailed and stand out, although I can't say the same about some of the character designs, especially the Prince's, which should be the best. The opening cutscene shows of the PS3's graphics, though. Everything in it looks amazing, even the minimal details.
The fighting is the most flawed part of the game, with a lot of square button pressing needed, although it is fairly epic. A stupid part of it is that while you are doing finishing moves, enemies can still attack you. The nature powers are a good idea, mainly because of the fact that it cuts down square button pressing. The four choices of powers are fire, stone, wind and ice, which are all pretty good choices.
The replay value isn't brilliant, but another good idea from Ubisoft is the challenge mode, which features the Enemy Tides Challenge, where you battle hordes of enemies throughout ten rounds. It's addictive trying to complete it; plus you get a rewarding silver trophy for completing the tough ten rounds.
It's a great game but in the Prince's next outing, the POP team should try improving the combat.
