Alien graphics mixed with a cherokee sub-cultural theme... I would have thought differently for sure!

One thing I know is that this game was certainly an ambitious project.
Judging by the cover you wouldn't say so but it is a good and solid FPS that implodes into it's own beauty. This causes me to say that I've played better on my late PS2 but the heart of it remains: it is a good bargain!
The reason I wrote the last paragraph is quite simple to describe actually... There are 2 separate ways to evaluate a game nowadays. One is the graphical joy (entertainment for fantasy - which is the case here - and realism for simulations) that it brings and the other is the way it catches your brain into it, storywise.
This one pulled the first out of me. It's a graphical wonder. I don't care that it has a great engine or any of those technical aspects of it. I just know it had the magic. We must remember this was one of the first released FPSs for the 360 - which makes it greater!
Indeed every piece of design within the game is wonderful. It has the impact it was supposed to have when it was being drawn in the first place which is always good. From the moment you're drawn into the "alien world" you really feel everything is where it's supposed to be and has the effect it's supposed to have. It's really good.
The sad thing about it is it's story and the way it is unveiled to you.
As I've put in the title the mixture between aliens and cherokee indians is not appealing and much less when put into action like here...
It is a forced storyline that blends love, family, spirits and aliens all together making it a mess. Must say that it is understandable allright but still messy and far much complex than it needed to.
Positive aspects are quite a bit more than the opposite but a logical and simpler story would be better.
Final notes: Great weaponry with dodgy and difficult targeting system; Great alien designs and absolutely stunning ideas with the gravity switches and portals to move around; Dumb "undying" mechanism.
That said, give it a go! Surely there are much better games but not this old and this cheap!
