A fun yet frusterating game that is almost like a precursor to custom robo.

A whjile ago, I got this game and I must say that it is pretty good, it is fun to play, the graphics were good and the music is amazing for the time, it is basically like a mix of street fighter and custom robo. Of course, I almost instantly ran into problems while playing this game, for one thing, it has a password save feature, so I could pretty much only get as far as my game boy colors batteries would let me. Also, seeing as I got this game in a trade, I had almost no clue how to play, fortunately, I got used to it fairly quickly. The big problem was the special attacks, I mainly used them by pressing semi random button combinations, and the powered up versions? well, I only got that far in the actual game once (by the way, the arcade mode is a relative blast) and even then, I jhad no clue how to activate them, so I could only use them if I was lucky and they often missed. One of the things I always thought weird was the parts, the character specific parts didn't seem to do anything at all! I also find it wierd that the cover work makes it seem as if the models are the main characters (which I wish they were). It could be fun to play but the foes were often cheap, in any case, I hope (yet doubt) that they come out with another game thus making this a series, but two reccomendations, make the models the main characters, give the game a plot and please, ditch the password save!
