Graphics:7.5-Believe it or not,this is STILL the Source engine from Half-Life 2 back in 2004.Yes,and STILL looks pretty cool.Some textures look mediocre and if you look up close you'll know the textures look blurry.
Sound:10-Music is fantasic,from a mystery style to a fast-paced "OH CRAP I'M BEING CHASED" style,Portal 2 knows how to keep the player satisfied.And the voice acting,as the great Frank West would say, "FAAAAANTASIC!"Ellen Mclain once again performs well as the evil GLaDOS. Stephen Merchant is hilarious in his role as the idiotic core Wheatley.And finally J.K. Simmons as Cave Johnson,just too awesome.
Story: /Single:9/Multi:5-The Singleplayer's story is fantastic and does a good job branching with the first game (like GLaDOS constantly telling you that you killed her)you wake up in what looks like a crappy motel room (you'll have to read the Portal comic "Lab Rat" to know how you got there)When Wheatley comes knocking at the door to help you escape (for some odd reason),unfortunately,thanks to his stupidity,GLaDOS is back on,and trust me,she's not gonna offer cake this time.There are plenty twists in this game that'll leave you surprised./Now for multiplayer story,which takes place right after the singleplayer story.You and your buddy are 2 robots made by GLaDOS-Atlas and P-Body.You must complete a bunch of tests for something GLaDOS needs...thats it.
Gameplay:10-Portal 2 isn't just a puzzle game with portals like the first one.First of all the game is 2x the difficulty of the first game and 3x longer (I'm talking about the singleplayer)but the game's not "break your controller" hard it's hard enough to make you try to beat it....LIKE A BOSS! /Now Multiplayer is 2x harder than the singlelayer.It's literally impossible to do the multi-tests alone (I've tried,play developer commentary to findout)for the game it's a good idea to have a mic handy (I've beaten it without a mic...but try playing in a test course for a half hour!).
Lasting Appeal:7.0- Both the single and multi stories are pretty short.If you wanna come back for trophies or better yet easter eggs (the Rattman dens are back :D)
