Decent, but forgettable.

It took me just over 26 hours to defeat the entire game. I was surprised at just how easy this game was overall. The combat actually is really fun at times, especially the bosses in the early game, but is just way too easy. Maybe I found more of the hidden treasure chests strewn about then I was supposed to on my first play through. I died a total of 3 times in the game, not "game over" deaths, just deaths of one party member. And that was in the entire time I played the game. I'm not an RPG veteran by any means, and I was hoping for much more of a challenge.

But beyond the ease of the game, and the fact that i really didn't care too much for any of the characters(Which is more of a fault on my part than the game itself, I don't get attached to video game characters easily) it's a good game. The art style which certainly doesn't even begin to stress the PSP's capabilities, is passable with just enough quirk and doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the game. Audio is also passable.

Overall, I like PoPoLoCrois, but I really can't remember much of the story, despite beating it less than 10 hours ago. But if you are starving for a RPG on the go, you could certainly do worse.
