Great game for pokemon lovers but don't buy if you don't have a DS + Pokemon: firered, leafgreen, diamond,or pearl.

When I purchased this game, i was hoping for an interactive game that allowed me to enjoy the minigames of the beloved nintendo 64 games and maybe some new features like unlocking pokemon to use against coliseums. Unfortunately, this game has a different "taste" to it. First, i you don't have a ds and a pokemon game then don't bother buying. You can copy pokemon from the ds to the wii easily but otherwise your stuck with one rental pass with six preset, utterly weak pokemon. You can unlock some new rental passes if you somehow manage to beat the gate coliseum more than 2 or 3 times. Regardless, this game has some pros. First, the graphics are some of the best i've seen on the wii given the games age and the system. Second, if you have a ds pokemon game, then you can not only enjoy seeing your well trained pokemon battle in 3d form but you can challenge players around the world if you have internet access. Overall, I would give this game a C+ if you don't have a ds but a B if you do.
