A decent game in its own right.

User Rating: 7 | Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest PSP
Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Man's Chest is in its own right,a decent movie title.Lets start with the visuals. They're surprisingly good. The animation is nice. There aren't a lot of over stretched textures, and the character models are presented well. The game looks fair for a movie title.

The sound track is ripped from the movie,so fans will be pleasantly surprised. The music is good, and a lot of the sound effects, like Jack Spearow's grunts, sound alright.Dead Man's Chest's presentation is very well done for a movie game in all.

Dead Man's Chest plays like your average adventure game, but it has a few problems. One,the combat system is a bit to dull.It has you mashing on the buttons constantly for the sword fighting.Another problem are with the controls, they feel to sluggish.I can't exactly tell what causes this "sluggishness",my best theory is that it might be the animation. The rest of the game is enjoyable for a fans of the movie, and can at times be fun.

What's wrong with this game? The controls feel sluggish, and the combat system is incredibly redundant.

Final Verdit:Jack Spearow's outing on the PSP is a good one for a movie title, which are usually plagued with problems.Pirates Of The Caribbean Dead Man's Chest is a fair title that any hardcore fans will enjoy, but to other gamers,I recommend you find another title to play.
