"Phantasy Star Online Episode I&II was (and I guess still is) the first online game for gamecube!"
Gameplay: 7/10
Altough its Gameplay is "overally" unique, its still a very different game. As you defeat enemies you character becomes stronger and gains new techniques based on how you created your character at the start. There are several classes to start with and a HUGE customization process to go through, but it can be skipped. The controls are easy to learn. The main problem is at times you may find yourself constantly on the verge of death if you dont play online before doing some of the harder quests.
Graphics: 8/10
Standard Gamecube graphics in my opinion. Nice semi-open ended levels and enemy/level/character designs are a huge contributing factor to the game, but sometimes NPC's (due to the customization process) can look EXACTLY like you, kinda degrading the game slightly when your around them. But most of the time the game is fairly well done, wether its single/multi-player, altough I havnt played online, i'm sure its good to!
Overall: 8.4/10
An excellent RPG that will become addiciting once you get past the first few area's. Altough it seems slow at heart, its an excellent game overall. You just have to get to playing it for awhile!
