Great game. Maybe the best game based on a movie. Briliiant, but too short.

I bought this game and finished it in three days taking my time. You can easily finish it in a day if you rush through it but you'll be deiisapointed if you do so. Couple of extras, not much, but some are worth looking at such as Peter Jackson's interview and interactive concept art. The framerate can get a bit dodgy at times, though you wont notice it untill you play the level again, somehow you notice these little things and they get really annoying.

The graphics overall are nice, very real. The character models look coll and animate good enough. But the awfull thing is this: (ATTENTION: PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS PASSAGE IF YOU DONT WANT TO RUIN THE GAME FOR YOU AS IT DID FOR ME!!) When you see a fire from far , it looks really real. then you approach it and if you try to look over it, you can see the fire is flat and fake. This effect wasnt noticeable in the PS1 days., but nowadays its ridiculous and very noticeable.

The sound is great. Great voice acting too.

The gameplay as Jack is easy to hang on to. As Kong sometimes its a bit messy but Its fun.

Overall, KING KONG is a great game, but too much of the game is spent as Jack, not Kong. The NYC level is deadly the first time you play it but the second time its really annoying and flaws are everywhere.

Definitely worth a rental, even worth buying. It does not spoil the movie too much as no real unpredictable plot twist happens. Makes you wanna see the movie.
