Delicious!
With a few minor mic issues, I was able to prepare two dishes that I had never cooked before in my life, one of them I had never even heard of.
My fiance, who, even though he tries very hard, can barely make a sandwich, let alone a full meal, was amazed at how easy the instructions were to follow.
It comes with extra tips you can read to tell you exactly what it's talking about, it even has some videos in case you aren't sure how to properly cut an onion. The substitution section for the ingredients was a great edition, and it's so easy to chose what recipes you want to use.
You can customise it by difficulty of the recipe, Country, ingredients, even Calorie content, and much more than that, you can even choose in the settings for it to exclude any items you don't eat, so if for example you're allergic to tomatoes, check it off in the settings for exclusions, and no recipe containing tomatoes will show up.
As I mentioned, the mic issues were evident, countless times I would be chopping vegetables, or simply getting a bowl out of the cupboard, and it would think that I had asked it to continue to the next step. You can say "Last Step" to get it to go back, but I found I would have to repeat myself several times. It was quite frustrating, and, although you can close the lid and put it in sleep mode untill your finished, when you have your hands covered in raw beef, you don't really want to be touching your DS.
When I first got the game, I thought 245 recipes was a lot, but it's hard to find anything that you'll actually want to eat, especially if you're cooking for a bunch of picky eaters.
These minor issues aside though, it's a great purchase, it's the same price as, if not cheaper than, buying a cook book, only it has way more recipes than most, and it talks to you.
This game is all it's cracked up to be, and for anyone who enjoys cooking, or wants to start enjoying it, it's a great buy.
