Denver-based Aspect Simulations has released the first information on Knights Over Europe, a World War I flight combat simulation game in which both novice players and hardened flight sim fans will be able to take to the skies in dozens of highly detailed and historically accurate aircraft. The game will feature individually tracked bullets, which, should they reach their intended target, will result in wholly believable damage as they punch holes in the wood and fabric of enemy planes. Aspect Simulations even claims that the chunks of wood and other debris that are thrown into the air after such an encounter could potentially be damaging if players aren't careful to avoid them.

Knights Over Europe is currently scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2004. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
