New publisher 4AM Entertainment has today confirmed that The Fate will be the first game it publishes in the UK. The role-playing game, which was developed by Korea-based Tronwell Software and has already sold in excess of 110,000 units in that territory, features a lengthy single-player campaign and three different multiplayer modes of play.

The Fate will initially see players assuming the role of a young warrior named Loni who is searching for his missing brother, but as they progress through the game, they'll also be joined by a noble knight named Blunt and a magical character named Reyna. According to today's press release, the game features an innovative "group control" feature that employs sophisticated artificial intelligence to allow players to control all three of the major characters simultaneously.

The multiplayer modes of play featured in The Fate include adventure, deathmatch, and team play, although no specific details concerning them have been released at this time, save for the fact that they can all be played on a LAN or via the Internet. The Fate is currently scheduled for release in the UK on August 7. No release dates for the rest of Europe or North America have been confirmed at this time, but we'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
