Oww I was taking a break from Nwn2:Mask of Betrayer,I kinda missed it,but too lazy to get back on track. And now I think I will definately want to get back where I finished and then get the new expansion pack, cuz it looks quite cool and I love this game.

loved playing the nwn2, I hope this one will have better ai and less glitches, though when they mentioned making the game more difficult, I was a little pissed considering how hard the latter parts of nwn2 and the majority of Mask of the betrayer was

could never get into this game. graphics, art direction are both subpar while the controls and camera views are wonky and slow.

    Questions he didn't answer:

    1. Have they increased the multi-class limit of 4-5 seperate classes for a single character?

    2. Have they stayed true to the 3.5 rules system even though the paper system is now 4.0?

I am happy they included the swashbuckler class, it makes a fantastic addition to combine with wizards or rogues for the dex attack bonus and the Int damage bonus to melee attacks with finesse weapons.

The other two new classes suck as far as their statistic are concerned.

I also think they need to add some percentage heals to the divine spell list (especially with the new resurect system). 3.0/3.5 edition has always been woefully unbalanced when it comes to heals (a wizard at 5th level can do a 5d6 fireball to all in a 20' radius (avg 17.5 damage each to up to 16 medium creatures.) a 5th level cleric can do a single target heal of 3d8 (avg 13.5 healing to 1 target)

    So compare 17.5*16 = 280 damage
    to healing 13.5*1 = 13.5 heal

Healing should be 50%-100% of hitpoints, and there should be radius heals (for multiple targets) at early levels starting at 5th.

I see my main problem with the game has not been resolved. The animations. Sorry the combat is terrible and in the original game it was fantastic.

Its something I could never get over and its why I never brought the expantion and wont be buying this one either.

    Bring on Dragon age bioware.

I love that guys diplomacy example. I use diplomacy all the time in real life. "You better get out of here or I'm going to attack you."

well the overland map looks AWESOME. I hope they improved party AI. Another thing about the neverwinter games they are very easy if you make a very powerful character. I hope they reward more variety in power. A party of STR 18 characters just cruise to the game. I dont want that.

I own all the Neverwinter nights games, from the first, to the latest (mask of the betrayer). I will definately be buying this one. and god, does this guy know any other words besides uhh and umm.

Uh I think that umm I might uh probably umm buy this umm you know, uuh this game because it uh looks kinda like ummm the old one but uhh I don't like how uuh this guy umm talks....

  • Khalathwyr

I promise, I will buy this game if Obsidian just promises to never let this guy speak about the game. See kids, skipping or sleeping through speech class in college isn't such a great thing after all. Turns out you might actually need it!

That aside the game looks great.

Seems pretty cool, the new map system is awesome, as do the party conversation an creation team, the only thing i thought it's rather stupid, it's being a low level adventure, i mean, wth! lol

'Though i'll probably get it for christmas as well.

I like the new conversation/skill system also the new map looks good. The best thing for me thou is the party system I can now make my group how I want. I say I will pick it up for christmas.
