Patapon is one of the first games on the psp, that actually really feels like a good game.
Patapon is a very creative and original game, that has a quirky story line, and interesting characters. The main goal, is to amass an army of various patapon warriors, to defeat the ruthless zigiton army.
The idea of this type of game, will most likely be starting off a new era for the psp. 2-d sidescrolling games, with good gameplay and creative stories.
At the beginning of this game, you start off with a few patapons, and your goal is to collect different types of drums so you can command your army. This adds a lot of challenge and fun to the game, because you have to keep issuing out orders by using various drum patterns. The patterns are catchy, and are not hard to forget.
This game is fun, even at the patapon base. You can do a selection of things. You can buy more soldiers, play mini games to gain items to create more soldiers, you can talk to the locals, pretty much anything.
Another feature in this game I like, is the hunting feature. If you need meat to make patapons, or you need money, just go hunt some animals. You can hunt two types of enemies. Either local wildlife, or bosses. The wildlife give off a lot of meat and money, and the bosses generally give off one or two rare items.
When it comes down to it, Patapon is a great game for the psp. I would highly suggest it to anyone, at any age.
